Coachella 101: Packing List!

Packing for Coachella can feel overwhelming, especially if it’s your first time attending, and packing the right essentials is key to having a fun (& safe!) To help, we put together a list of must-pack essentials so you know exactly what you need for a successful festival weekend!

  1. SPF Tinted Sunscreen

Coachella Valley, where Coachella takes place, is known for extreme heat and strong sun during the Spring & Summer. Packing a strong sunscreen is ESSENTIAL for your festival packing list, and make sure to have a mini-size in your day bag so you can reapply.

  2. Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is going to be your BFF Coachella weekend and help your hair stay looking slay in all the dust and sweat.

  3. Comfy Shoes

We know there is a lot of pressure to put together fire looks for Coachella, but don’t let that pressure cause you to make the grave mistake of wearing uncomfortable shoes just for the lewk. You are going to spend a lot of time walking and on your feet, and picking style over comfort is the wrong move. Prioritize comfy shoes (that still look cute!) and trust us, you’ll have a much better time.

  4. Water Bottle

Did you know you’re allowed to bring a reusable water bottle into the festival? Well now you do! Just make sure it is plastic (not metal or glass) and empty at the time of entry. There are hydration areas around the festival grounds where you will be able to fill up and stay hydrate all weekend long!

  5. Bandaids

Even in the most comfy shoes, there’s almost a 100% chance you end up with blisters from all the walking you’ll do during the weekend. Make sure to pack lots of bandaids!!!!

  6. Portable Charger

You phone will inevitably die after 8+ hours at the festival, so a portable charger will be a life saver!

  7. Hand Sanitizer

Dust, sweat, thousands of other people… we think this one is defiantly self explanatory lol.

  8. ID + Cash + Wristband

Nothing is worse than getting go the festival gates and realizing your forgot your ID or wristband at the hotel/AirBnB. Make sure to double check your day bag before heading there!

  9. Extra Outfit + Sweater

It’s a good thing you’re allowed to bring a medium sized backpack ( 18"x13"x8.5") into the festival with you, because it gets VERY cold at night and a sweater is essential. It’s also not a bad idea to pack an extra top/socks/etc. in case of any outfit malfunctions.

  10. Blotting Sheets

Again, pretty self explanatory. Dust + sweat = blotting sheets are essential!
